2010 Affiliate Presidents
The Affiliates are the heart of STA. STA actively solicits opinions and ideas from Affiliate leaders and members. We promulgate information about policy, technological innovation, industry trends and a variety of other areas crucial to the business of securities professionals.
- - STA’s committee structure gives members the chance to take part in shaping the industry of the future.
- - STA holds two conferences each year—the Washington Conference and one of the industry’s premier events, STA’s Annual Conference, both of which draw the most influential players in the business, legislative and regulatory arenas.
- - STA conducts regular membership polls covering critical issues, the results of which are used to help formulate our position on these issues impacting our industry.
- - STA’s Board of Governors and Executive Committee Members meet with Affiliates to participate in round-table discussions and local conferences.
- - STA officers maintain regular contact with elected officials and regulators on the federal level to ensure members’ concerns are heard and their interests are accommodated.
- - All vital information—including policy statements, poll results, press releases, industry issues and event calendars—is posted on this STA web site.
