The Security Traders Association (STA) is a professional trade
organization that works to improve the ethics, business standards
and working environment for members, who are engaged in the buying,
selling and trading of securities. Our 7,000 members belong to one
of 29 affiliate organizations, nationally and internationally,
making STA the largest organization of its kind in the world.

STA also works to:
- Represent members' interests by maintaining regular
communication with governments on all levels, regulatory
organizations, stock exchanges and other participants in the
securities markets;
- Enhance free and open markets for the mutual benefit of
members and investors;
- Keep members informed about pending rules, regulations and
legislation;
- Improve the standards and operations of the world's securities
markets;
- Provide members with educational opportunities such as
seminars, conferences and training sessions through the STA
Foundation;
- Encourage the enforcement of securities laws;
- Demonstrate to members how to become actively involved in
shaping the securities industry of the future.
